Jill Pratt is McCormick’s Chief Marketing Excellence Officer. In her role, she is responsible for maximizing the return on our brands and advertising spend via delivering insights, branding, consumer communication, and activation across owned, earned, and paid media. Since creating the Marketing Excellence Organization, Jill and her team have brought significant capability in house to enable consumer intimacy and cost effectiveness and increase the speed, quantity and quality of McCormick’s communications. She also serves on the Global Consumer Strategy Council (GCSC) and the Global Marketing Leadership group (GML).
Jill joined McCormick in August 2008 as Business Director, Flavor Enhancers, where she was responsible for McCormick branded spices, extracts, and salad businesses. Since then, she has held roles of increasing responsibility within McCormick’s Marketing Organization and Zatarain’s, including: Vice President, Marketing for the U.S. Consumer Products Division, General Manager for Zatarain’s, and VP, North America Marketing Excellence.
Prior to McCormick, she held a variety of marketing roles at Procter & Gamble in its cosmetics businesses, primarily focusing on the CoverGirl brand. She has a passion for marketing innovation and designed several successful new products for global and regional launches and revamped the cosmetics shopping experience with key retailers. Before attending graduate school, Ms. Pratt worked in mergers and acquisitions for Integrated Health Services, Inc. and in public accounting for Arthur Andersen LLP.
Jill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Virginia and received her MBA from Harvard Business School. She serves as Secretary on the Cabinet of the Board of Trustees for Center Stage in Baltimore, MD and has two growing boys, Conrad and Miles, and two rambunctious dogs who keep her busy at home.
Alia Kemet is Vice President, Creative & Digital Marketing for McCormick’s consumer and flavor solutions business. In her role, she oversees several functions including digital strategy, content, creative campaigns, CRM, owned platforms, social media, public relations, consumer affairs and emerging technology across McCormick’s portfolio of brands.
Since joining McCormick in 2017, Alia has designed creative experiences to modernize brands, delivered creative that builds irrational love and loyalty, and developed an innovative approach to digital and consumer intimacy across the company’s 20 North American flavor brands. She helped drive unprecedented sales results and increased share value through innovative pivots and transformative business initiatives, motivated by the dramatic shift in consumer consumption due to COVID-19.
She is leading award-winning work for McCormick, Frank’s RedHot, French’s Mustard, Old Bay and recently launched Sunshine Seasoning, McCormick’s first influencer innovation collaboration through social media and DTC. Her leadership has garnered industry recognition, including being named Adweek’s 2021 Brand Leader of the Year and Ad Age’s Leading Women Class of 2021.
Prior to joining McCormick, Ms. Kemet spent 14 years at IKEA Group in creative and digital roles building digital and social media strategy overhauling of the company’s digital operations to increase omnichannel traffic and sales.
She is dedicated to the advancement of women and girls and is actively involved in community organizations including Top Ladies of Distinction, inc., and Girl Scouts Council of America. She also produces her own personal podcast: Phenomenal Grit—Career Conversations for Women of Color. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Howard University.
Kevan Vetter is Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Development for McCormick and Company, a global leader in flavor. Chef Kevan and his department are responsible for culinary support, product development guidance, and creative insights to McCormick’s consumer business.
Kevan’s love for cooking began at an early age by helping in the kitchen to prepare birthday cakes and fresh bread for family gatherings. Shortly after starting his first restaurant job, Kevan knew that a career in food was his calling. After running his first kitchen at the age of 19, Kevan embarked on a 16-year culinary journey that would take him into the kitchens of numerous fine dining, upscale casual dining restaurants and catering operations in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast as well as St Joseph’s University where he held the position of Executive Chef.
All of these experiences helped to build the foundation for Kevan’s next move in 1998 when he joined McCormick. At McCormick, he has been able to use his love for great food and fresh flavors to help design and develop new products, recipes and menu items for some of the country’s top consumer food and restaurant companies as well as the McCormick consumer family of brands. Since its inception in 2000, Kevan has been a key member of the McCormick Flavor Forecast team - global group that spotlights current trends while constantly pursuing and identifying what’s next in flavor.
Kevan is an active spokesperson presenting to key grocery retailers and at multiple national conferences including Food Forum, Chef to Shelf and the American Culinary Federation regional and national conferences on the topic of changing trends and consumer preferences. He has also appeared on TV – from local networks to Food Network’s popular Unwrapped show. Kevan has been published in Food Processing Magazine and Food Product Design as well as authoring a chapter on chefs designing flavor for meals for the book Meals in Science and Practice.
Trevor Squires serves as General Manager Canada and North America Foodservice for McCormick & Company in which he leads strategy and execution across the entire McCormick Canada business along with the Food Away from Home Branded Foodservice division in both Canada and the United States. Squires also serves on the Global Flavour Solutions Strategy Council (FSSC) and is a member of the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee. Outside of McCormick, Trevor is actively involved with United Way Elgin Middlesex and held the position of Campaign Fundraising Chair for the 2020 campaign, raising money for critical issues like food security, mental health, and helping people and families in need.
